Description of the Therapy Session
In MER Biofeedback® therapy, the therapist uses a biofeedback device to identify and balance client’s stress indicators through sound, light, colours, and specifically low frequencies. For example, new-generation smartwatches operate on a similar principle.
No need to recall or discuss past traumas: The therapist does not have to ask questions about past events. Client does not need to recall or describe negative life events or traumatic experiences. Clients can remain silent and rest during the session if they wish.
MER Biofeedback® therapy is a safe, non-invasive, and non-manipulative method with no negative side effects.
The use of the biofeedback device causes no discomfort, and clients feel comfortable and relaxed during the session.
For toddlers, the sensors are attached around the head or abdomen.
Children may play during the therapy if they wish. Clients are welcome to bring a toy or game that interests their child.
During the session, the therapist speaks positively about the client, ensuring a safe and comforting environment.
Throughout the therapy, the therapist provides each client with personal, positive recommendations to improve their quality of life. After a session, most people feel relaxed.

At the first session, the therapist provides the client with a leaflet entitled “New Programs”, enabling the client to start developing new positive ways of thinking, acting, and being. After the therapy session, the client receives a written summary of the stressors identified and balanced.

Do I need to talk about myself during an MER Biofeedback® therapy session?
MER Biofeedback® therapy represents an unique therapeutic intervention where, unlike most types of therapy, the therapist discusses the client’s stress indicators, rather than the client themselves.
To the therapist, the client resembles a ‘puzzle’ that gradually unfolds. By testing stress indicators, the therapist discerns which stressors require balancing.
Consequently, the client is not required to recall or describe negative life events during the session. This therapeutic approach does not necessitate the therapist asking questions or mapping out past events.
Therefore, if preferred, the client does not need to speak about anything during the session.
